Beginning on July 15th, 2024, Middletown’s Utilities Department will begin installation of new water metering hardware at our service addresses as part of a planned systemwide replacement and upgrade to our existing utility meter inventory.
Letters have been sent to identified properties because town utility billing records indicate their water meter is due for replacement. Our Utilities Department staff will need access to the interior of the home or business, where the utility services are located. Replacing the meter and meter components will take approximately 20-30 minutes and will be at no cost to the property owner.
Property owners have two options to schedule the appointment for this work.
