Friendly Reminders from the Town
Temporary Signs (Section 17.36.130) such as yard sales, event signs, and contractor yard signs can only be placed on property where the owner has granted permission. All temporary signs must be removed three (3) days after the conclusion of the event or after the completion of work, for contractor signs.
Grass and Tree Limbs- The Town ordinance relating to grass (Section 8.12.010) requires grass and weeds to be less than eight (8) inches tall. Trees should be trimmed over sidewalks ten (10) feet from the ground and away from streetlights.
Animal Laws- Middletown has adopted Frederick County’s Animal Laws, and it is unlawful for any animal to run “At Large.” At Large means- An animal shall be deemed to be at large whenever it is not on the owner’s property or under the immediate physical control of responsible person capable of physically restraining the animal.
Water/Sewer Bills- Residents can pay on their water/sewer accounts before the bill arrives. The Town can accept payments monthly or more frequently if needed via check, cash, resident’s online bill pay and online. When we do our quarterly billing, your final bill will reflect prior payments made on your account.
