The Middletown Recycling Event is fast approaching! Start to collect items that can be recycled or re-used and take them to our fall recycling event on Saturday, September 19^th from 9am - Noon which is also the Town’s next bulk trash day. (Instead of putting metals objects out for the bulk trash, please consider bringing them to the municipal center parking lot for recycling.) Items that will be collected in the parking lot behind the Middletown Municipal Building include  See below for the details.

Electronics: Only accepting computers and computer monitors.  

Textiles: Their mission is to keep clothes out of the trash and to create honorable work. Clean clothes and shoes and other household clothing items.

Scrap Metal Recycling: Our local Holy Family Parish's Knights of Columbus  will once again be collecting scrap metal for recycling.  Drop off items like appliances, tools, folding chairs, hardware, appliances...washers/dryers, coat hangers, pots, pans, and bottle caps. Older metal equipment and implements engines, and transmissions, provided all fluids are drained.

    NOT ACCEPTED: Items with Freon or oil/fluids, such as TVs, freezers, refrigerators, and air conditioners.

Old Paint [note there is a $$-fee for paint cans] Legally and safely dispose of old paint cans.  Yuck Old Paint takes old, leftover, used & unused, or unwanted paint cans from homes & offices. 

    FEE SCHEDULE: 

    — $5 per 5-gallon bucket
    — $5 per 1-gallon can
    — $5 per quart can
    — $1 per Benjamin Moore pint can
    — $2.50 aerosol cans (spray paint)
