Duties and Responsibilities

The Town is looking for an Alternate to the Board of Appeals. The Alternate sits on the Board of Appeals when one of the regular members is absent. Board of Appeals members are compensated $25 per hearing. Hearings are scheduled as needed and are generally held 3 – 5 times a year.

An appointment to the Board of Appeals is made by the Burgess & Commissioners.  Interested parties must be a resident of the Town of Middletown.
