Planning Office and Zoning AdministratorThe Planning Office and the Zoning Administrator oversee the application and enforcement of the Middletown Municipal Code. Cindy Unangst is the Town Planner and Robert Wilkes is the Zoning Administrator. Responsibilities include:
Office Hours/Contact Number The office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and accepts applications for zoning certificates daily. The Zoning Administrator position is a part time position of 20 hours per week. Zoning Ordinances Zoning ordinances take effect when you permanently alter the outside of your home, property, or building. To ensure your compliance with the town’s zoning ordinances we require an opportunity to review your project. This review is important so that your project does not interfere with other property owner’s property rights or with town easements, sewer lines, waterlines, etc. This review takes the form of a permit or zoning certificate.
