Kevin E. Stottlemyer, Commissioner
Kevin grew up and has lived in the area for most of his life. He attended Wolfsville Elementary, Middletown Middle, and graduated from Middletown High School. He is married to Lisa, a Corporate Travel Department Manager. They moved their family into the town limits in 2001. They have a daughter, Morgan, who is a 3rd grade elementary school teacher, and a son, Chase, who is a production supervisor. Both of their kids attended all of the Middletown schools.
Kevin earned degrees in Finance and Economics from Towson University where he also played collegiate Division 1 Soccer. President of Stottlemyer & Associates Inc., Kevin has been an Independent Insurance Broker for over 31 years. He comes from a family, and extended family, that believes in volunteering, and giving back to your community.
He’s been a youth soccer coach in Middletown for over 25 years, and for 13 of those years he was a Board member and Director of the soccer program for the Middletown Valley Athletic Association (MVAA). Kevin’s been an active member in the Rotary Club of Frederick for over 16 years, where he previously served as a Board member as well. He volunteers for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, organizing and participating in fundraisers in Middletown, and other regions of the county.
Kevin loves Middletown and the surrounding areas that represent the school district. From a young age, Middletown showed him what it meant to have true, hometown pride. It’s a place where residents, in “Middletown Orange,” proudly support their local teams and school events. Middletown is the perfect example of idyllic small town America. It’s a place where family traditions and get-togethers still matter, whether it’s going to the annual Middletown Heritage Days, the Fourth of July fireworks celebration, or a backyard barbeque with family and friends. It will always be his home.
He decided to run for commissioner to help Middletown maintain its Small-town environment and quality of life that make it a great place to live. He will use this philosophy as a guiding principle when making decisions regarding Middletown and its residents.
