Some of those things may not come to pass here in Middletown, and even though we all know what can happen … are we prepared? Disaster can strike quickly and without warning. Can we protect ourselves and our family? Do we have a plan? Where will your family be when disaster strikes? They could be anywhere — at home, at work, at school or on the road Will you know if your children are safe? What if your child has special health care needs?

In an emergency, we all have to plan to be self sucient, and possibly spend several days without utilities, medical aid, transportation or communications.
